Director - Following an organisational restructure, this new role involved leading one of five newly formed business units with full P&L accountability for £10m of annual turnover, reporting to the Group Managing Director and leading a cross-functional team of 16. Projects were design and brand-led workspace fit-outs with budgets from £700k-£2.5m and were managed end-to-end, from first client contact through to practical completion and aftercare.

Senior Designer - Promoted to senior designer meant continuing to lead the pitching, design development and on site management, but of larger and more complex projects while also having responsibility for the day-to-day resourcing management of three junior team members in a design team of 15.

Designer - Starting a newly qualified designer in a fast-paced, dynamic commercial environment, owning design projects after a few months with responsibility for client brief taking, full pitch design including space planning, concept design, FF&E design and specification and working with visualisers and commercial colleagues to build cost plans and high level programmes for delivery. Upon appointment, leading on detailed design development with clients for full design sign off and production of stages 3-5 design materials ready for construction; including finishes schedules, technical drawings (supported by technical designers) and working closely with commercial and procurement teams. Management on site included weekly site meetings with client and construction teams to oversee design decisions, client changes and site or sourcing issues. Projects starting at 2,000-5,000 sq ft with budgets of £250-£500k and over time developing to lead on larger projects up to 20,000 sqft with budgets of up to £1.5m.

Working part-time while studying at KLC and before joining Thirdway as a Designer. Supporting the business owner and full-time team members on high-end home staging projects across London for photography and ongoing marketing for sales and lettings. Responsible for selection, install and styling of appropriate furniture, lighting, textiles and homeware to showcase the architecture, space, light and best features of the property.

Opera is a commercial property project and development management consultancy. As a Project Manager I was responsible for managing the planning and delivery of fit-out projects across both the retail and corporate workplace sectors. Retail experience included project management of retail fit-out in Granary Square and Coal Drops Yard on behalf of the landlord and developer, Argent at King’s Cross in central London with brands including Ruby Violet, Frame and Everyman Cinemas. Corporate Experience includes a current project involving a c.£10million refurbishment of a 6-storey commercial office building for a global banking organisation in The City of London.
